moving blog to another castle
I had various blogs over time. On Opera, on Blogger, custom made by me, on Textpattern and WordPress.
The latest thing to do was dumping Textpattern. Not a bad blog system, pretty stable, but not very expandable, at least not without hacking. I had there a multilanguage blog at a time when WordPress didn’t supported that. Now I decided not to blog multi language as my followers are mostly spiders and bots, and I spend too much time on that.
Textpattern trend is pretty stagnant compared with WordPress. Check it here.
My needs for a blog are simple:
- create posts
- allow comments
- allow categories
- allow stats
- allow some design changes and some code highlighting
